Refining purpose

Oil refining, usually refers to refine the crude oil, the presence of impurities in the oil, not only affects the use value of oil and safe storage, but also brings difficulties to deep processing, but in refining, not all impurities in the oil are removed, Instead, some of them are removed, and beneficial impurities such as vitamin E, sterol, etc. are retained. Therefore, according to different requirements and uses, different requirements and harmful impurities are removed from the oil to obtain a refined oil that meets certain quality standards, which is the purpose of refining.

Method of oil refining
According to the operating characteristics and the materials selected, the oil refining method can be roughly classified into three types: mechanical method, chemical method and physical chemical method. The specific oil refining methods are classified as follows:


The above refining methods are often not completely separated. Sometimes one method is used and another refinement is produced. For example, alkali refining (neutralizing free fatty acids) is a typical chemical method, however, the soap-stock produced by the neutralization reaction can adsorb a part of the pigment. It can be seen that the alkali chemistry is accompanied by a physical  chemical process.
Oil refining is a relatively complex and flexible work. It is necessary to choose the appropriate refining method according to the purpose of oil refining, taking into account technical conditions and economic benefits.

 → refining → decolorizing →  deodorizing →RBD palm oil → crystallization → fractionation → RBD olein & RBD stearin 

 2.palm kernel  →depericarper → crushing → pressing → CPKO →  refining → RBDPK oil , RBDPK olein & RBDPK stearin
