Below 30 ºC wax with low solubility in oil, wax precipitation grain as oil sol, has all the characteristics of colloid, so the wax content under the help of light scattering- butyl phenomenon as principle of turbidimeter measure.With the prolongation of storage time, the wax grains gradually increase and become suspended, at this time, the system becomes a coarse dispersion system - suspension, thus reflecting the instability of the colloidal system, it can be seen that wax-containing oil is both sol and suspension. The oil contains trace wax, which can increase the turbidity point, decrease the transparency and digestibility of the oil, and make the smell and palatability worse, thus reducing the edible quality, nutritional value and industrial use value of the oil. In addition, wax is an important industrial raw material, can be used to make wax paper, waterproof agent, gloss agent, etc.Therefore, the extraction of wax from oil can not only improve the quality of edible oil, the nutritional value and the quality of oily food, but also improve the industrial utilization value of oil and the comprehensive utilization of vegetable oil wax source.
